Have You Heard of the 2-out-of-3 Rule?

When I ran a publishing company, I used this rule for all of my freelancers. It went like this:

• Be fast
• Be good
• Be nice

If you nail 2 out of 3 of these, you’ll always keep clients. And to your point on respect, if the client hits 2 out of 3 of these rules (pays fast, pays well, is nice), you’ll likely keep them around.
