How Timely, I Just Quit My Job

I can’t tell you how good it felt — and how bad. My now-former boss told me something that speaks to your point:

The grass is yellow on both sides of the fence. What you need to decide is which side to water.

What I’m going to do gives me freedom, but more importantly, it requires independence and self-reliance. I liked my job (a lot of the points you bring up in your article apply to me), but in the end, I chose to bet on me.
