When I Left Corporate Christianity, I Had a Similar Experience

I delved deep into Stoicism, too. There was a lot to take from it that I sorely needed after my experiences with several churches and their push for unhappiness, giving up control of the little you actually have control over, and judgmental mindsets.

Stoicism, Asatru, and some more esoteric spiritual systems helped me find a nice balance where I can be happy with my existence while still being attuned with God.

I’m glad for these recent revivals. It’s been too long since people were encouraged to think about differing worldviews and the connectedness of things like religion and philosophy.
